Role Summary :

We have an exciting opportunity for a Servo Motor Product Support & Application Engineer to join Nidec Drives.

The engineer will oversee both strategic and hands-on aspects of our Control Techniques Dynamics portfolio, ensuring commercial, technical, and customer support for our products.

This role involves supporting segment and regional drive centers, providing day-to-day support to enhance customer acquisition, retention, and experience.

The position is key to bridging product management, engineering, and regional support to deliver application expertise, resolve challenges, and promote product adoption.

Key Job Responsibilities :

• Manage commercial product support
• Handle quotations and proposals
• Support segments and regions
• Coordinate bids
• Analyze margins and profitability
• Manage orders and fulfillment
• Support forecasting and pipeline development
• Provide application engineering and technical support
• Enable commercial training
• Integrate feedback into product lifecycle
• Collaborate cross-functionally
• Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement
• Build customer relationships and advocacy

Travel Requirements :

Minimum of 25% travel, including overnight stays and out-of-hours meetings, with potential for increased travel as needed.

Qualifications & Experience :

• Degree/Bachelor/Master in a technical or automation-related field
• Proven experience in Servo Motor Product Management
• Track record in business development within Servo Motors, Gear, and Motion Control
• Market and application knowledge in automation
• Strong interpersonal skills for relationship building
• Technical aptitude and financial understanding
• Leadership skills for managing teams and projects

Employees must be able to :

• Understand emergency instructions
• Read safety signage and hazard warnings
• Communicate effectively in emergencies (e.g., fire evacuation)
