Role Summary :

We have an exciting opportunity for a Servo Motor Product Support & Application Engineer at Nidec Drives.

This role involves supporting our Control Techniques Dynamics portfolio, ensuring commercial, technical, and customer-facing support to maximize opportunities and customer satisfaction.

The engineer will support regional drive centres and manage commercial activities to enhance customer acquisition and retention, bridging product management, engineering, and regional support teams.

Key Job Responsibilities :

• Manage commercial product support
• Handle quotations and proposals
• Support segments and regions
• Coordinate bids
• Analyze margins and profitability
• Manage orders and fulfilment
• Support forecasting and pipeline development
• Provide application engineering and technical support
• Enable commercial training
• Gather feedback for product lifecycle management
• Collaborate across functions
• Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement
• Build customer relationships and advocacy

Travel Requirements :

Minimum 25% travel, including overnight stays and out-of-hours meetings, with potential for increased travel based on business needs.

Qualifications & Experience :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or automation field, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience in Servo Motor Product Management
• Track record in business development within servo motors, gear, and motion control
• Market and application knowledge in automation
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Technical aptitude and financial understanding
• Leadership skills managing cross-functional teams and projects

• Communicate effectively in emergency situations
