Role Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Servo Motor Product Support & Application Engineer to join Nidec Drives.

This role involves managing both strategic and hands-on aspects of our Control Techniques Dynamics portfolio, providing commercial, technical, and customer-facing support to maximize opportunities.

The engineer will support regional drive centers and segments, ensuring customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction through technical expertise and support.

This position is key to bridging product management, engineering, and regional support, delivering application expertise, resolving challenges, and driving product adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support management of commercial products
• Manage quotations and proposals
• Provide segment and regional support
• Coordinate bids
• Analyze margins and profitability
• Manage orders and fulfillment
• Support forecasting and pipeline development
• Deliver application engineering and technical support
• Enable and train sales teams
• Integrate feedback into product lifecycle
• Collaborate cross-functionally
• Monitor performance and pursue continuous improvement
• Build customer advocacy and relationships

Travel Requirements:

Minimum of 25% travel, potentially increasing, including overnight stays and out-of-hours meetings.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree or equivalent in a technical or automation field
• Proven experience in Servo Motor Product Management
• Track record in business development within servo motors, gear, and motion control
• Knowledge of automation markets and products
• Strong interpersonal skills for relationship building
• Technical aptitude and financial understanding
• Leadership skills managing cross-functional teams and projects
