Job Description:

Within the Corporate Projects and Services Department and reporting to the Department Group Leader, this role has the responsibility to procure Projects Transportation Services and develop Cost Estimates for Commercial Proposals:

Key Activities & Responsibilities within Projects include sourcing and procuring logistics/shipping services in compliance with the available budget, project schedule, required service levels, contracted scope of work, and quality requirements:

• Develop and propose project tender strategy;
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to secure on-time availability of tender documents;
• Prepare, develop, manage, and run complex tenders independently;
• Assess financial and compliance risk of forwarders to identify and mitigate potential risks;
• Negotiate with forwarders for best costs, service levels, and contractual terms;
• Develop complex commercial bid evaluations and propose awarding;
• Define and prepare award recommendations;
• Prepare and issue contracts/frame agreements with forwarders, consistent with project requirements and company rules;
• Manage contracts and follow up (e.g., new price requests, claims, contract revisions);
• Support the group leader in developing and sustaining a transportation service providers supply base aligned with project and corporate strategies;
• Prepare cost estimates for the commercial department;
• Interface with all internal stakeholders (project team, logistics specialists, legal, administration, estimating department);
• Propose continuous process improvements leading to cost optimization, leveraging digital innovations.
