Trane Italia is seeking a Refrigeration Technician for the Bologna area

The role involves on-site responsibility for commissioning, maintenance, technological updates, and repair of HVAC systems in commercial, industrial, process, air conditioning, and comfort applications.

Required technical skills

Knowledge of thermodynamics principles (refrigerant cycle, refrigeration circuit and components), electrical knowledge with ability to read electrical diagrams, hydraulic and mechanical knowledge. Understanding of main refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Skills in analyzing anomalies and diagnostics. Familiarity with all necessary technical instrumentation. Welding skills. Handling refrigerant gases. Ability to interpret technical bulletins. F-Gas certification. Diploma from technical institute or technical high school. Basic knowledge of software packages (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred technical skills

Knowledge of main air treatment systems, system components, basic understanding of building management and control systems, in-depth knowledge of current refrigeration and air conditioning legislation, safety knowledge and use of personal protective equipment, ability to identify and communicate specific risks, customer focus, and technical consultancy skills.

Personal characteristics

Autonomy, flexibility, problem-solving, and time management skills. Ability to quickly assimilate technical information and learn new skills and knowledge.
