Nordex SE is seeking an engineer to ensure Grid Code compliance for wind farm projects. You will perform and document Grid Code tests, supporting compliance across sales and project phases, and rate Nordex products against grid requirements.

You will work with data analysis, automation, and cross-functional teams while travelling 5–10% of the time. Fluency in English is essential; Spanish is a plus, and a certificate to act as electrically skilled person is required.

Competenze

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or other equivalent technical education.
• Experience in Grid Code Testing with Wind Farm projects.
• Good knowledge of Grid Code compliance on power plant level and software details.
• Experience with data analysis, tools and automation.
• Intercultural understanding and ability to work across functions and geographies.
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Certificate to act as electrically skilled person.
• Willingness to go on business trips (5–10%).

THE PURPOSE

Global grid codes are becoming increasingly stringent due to stability risks, blackouts, and rapid regulatory changes, while rising technical complexity—such as FRT, GFM, and storage integration—demands specialized expertise across wind farm and turbine controls. As grid systems expand and diversify, advanced analysis beyond converter diagnostics is required to ensure compliance, control performance, and grid quality, making a Europe-based engineer essential to deliver timely and effective support.

YOUR TASKS

• Having the mentality of a responsible engineer for Grid Code Compliance for Wind Farm projects, you will perform, evaluate and document Grid Code compliance tests and analyse test data.
• Support the Grid Code compliance and Grid connection within sales and project phase.
• Having a clear picture and deep understanding of the capabilities of the Nordex products to be able to rate Grid Code compliance.
• Optimise the processes within Grid Code compliance and review and support the development of internal product specifications for Grid Code compliance.
• Regular contact and communication to the clients' experts to elaborate project-specific testing and solutions.
• Gain experiences of windfarm controller projects

YOUR PROFILE

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or other equivalent technical education
• Experience in Gride Code Testing with Wind Farm projects and experience with test cases in Grid Code Testing Procedures.
• Good knowledge of Grid Code compliance on power plant level and software details to archive this. Ideally due to experience with a wind turbine OEM or similar.
• Experience with data analysis, tools and automation are valuable.
• Intercultural understanding and you thrive on working collaboratively with teams across functions and geographies.
• Fluent in English spoken and written. Spanish is a plus.
• Very good communication skills, strong planning- and organizational skills, you are proactive, assertive and a team player.
• Certificate to act as electrically skilled person
• Willingness to go on business trips (5-10%)
