What You’ll Do

  • Supervise health and safety compliance across the workshop, leading by example.
  • Guide and oversee the technical team to achieve KPIs such as customer satisfaction, productivity, first-time fix rate, profitability, and cost savings.
  • Monitor performance and ensure quality within the workshop, reporting progress daily and addressing incidents.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and ensure technicians have the necessary tools and training.
  • Manage inventory, keeping the workshop organized and tidy.
  • Ensure work standards and engineering procedures are current, accurate, and compliant.
  • Hold daily team meetings to set expectations and plan workloads.
  • Serve as the main contact within the workshop, liaising with customers when necessary to minimize escalations.
  • Plan and allocate work based on skill, capacity, and resources.
  • Motivate and inspire the team towards continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions and provide feedback, supporting development plans and addressing personnel issues.
  • Identify training needs and organize relevant courses.
