A global technology company located in Naples is seeking a Service Sales and Technical Consulting Specialist. This position is responsible for technical consulting and sales of service solutions, fostering long-term customer relationships, and preparing competitive bids. The ideal candidate holds a Master's Degree in Electric Engineering and possesses strong customer orientation and problem-solving skills. Fluency in Italian and proficiency in English are required, with German as a plus.

In our Electrification Business area, for Service division, located in Naples we are looking for a Service Sales and Technical Consulting Specialist, who will be responsible for technical consulting and sales of Service solutions to the end-user customers and for building long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Elaborating competitive bids / estimations / quotations, taking into account best available product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations for each individual situation; ensuring tenders are well documented in a timely manner and with appropriate level of detail, including full and accurate costs;
  • Handling documentation regarding the offer / order; managing regular reports of bid status using defined tools; collecting and analyzing the reasons for tenders being lost and won; developing customer relationships to understand their needs and to ensure high level of satisfaction;
  • Analyzing product & market; cooperating with colleagues (i.e. Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain) in order to ensure positive claims resolutions; collaborating to define marketing plans in order to promote and develop Service Sales activities;
  • Supporting the price list activities, as well as the modifications and updates of marketing tools and quotation forms: promote and sell entire service product portfolio to expand ABB footprint in the designated area; provide technical consulting and specialist assistance on Service solutions to management and customers by giving relevant inputs on customer requirements and proposed service products / solutions;
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with new customers and ensuring immediate response to specific customer needs and issues; act as a promoter of ABB’s service products and solutions during marketing activities (trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings);
  • Generating and developing new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information, identifying and exploring potential new service portfolios; implementing service sales strategy in collaboration with the Service Product Marketing&Sales support Manager;
  • Preparing ABB’s Service offerings based on customer need and in coordination with the local Service Product Marketing&Sales support Manager and communicating contract details to the client;
  • Managing administrative sales processes and preparing all required technical documents; ensuring technical reliability, safety and cost effective solutions to satisfy customer’s needs.
Your background
  • A Master Degree in Electric Engineering or a High School Diploma in Electro-technical field;
  • Knowledge of Sales Force and LV & MV switchgears is preferred;
  • Excellent command of MS Office tools;
  • Fluent Italian and proficiency in English, both written and spoken;
  • Knowledge of German will be a plus;
  • Availability for business trip is required (70%-80%);
  • Customer-orientation, excellent skills, problem-solving attitude and ability to work and communicate efficiently in a team, proactivity, precision and high motivation, negotiation and build long-term relationships with customers complete your profile.
