Job Description

Your responsibilities

  1. Develop process engineering for service projects, ensuring compliance with deadlines and technical specifications, including:
  • Development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
  • Sizing of static and rotating equipment, control and safety valves, and related technical documentation
  • Heat and Material Balance calculations and process simulations (advantageous)
  • Technical evaluation and comparison of supplier offers
  • Participation in safety studies and reviews
  • Support commissioning with control optimizations and plant performance testing
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements relevant to the process
  • Preparation of procedural documents, design, balance sheets, data sheets for quotation and optimization
  • Define technical guarantees, assess risks, and establish measures outside standard guarantees
  • Ensure process engineering implementation aligns with project concepts and HZI guidelines
  • Preparation of operating manuals or supplements for conversions
  • Preparation of technical documents for procurement and system inquiries
  • Verification of correct implementation during planning and construction
  • Draft technical inquiry documents based on customer tenders and evaluate offers
  • Conduct technical meetings during procurement negotiations
  • Perform plant analyses, studies, and concept development to optimize plant performance
  • Prepare project-specific documentation
  • Support official inspections and tests on-site
  • Qualifications

    • Safety and customer-oriented mindset
    • Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Waste-to-Energy, Renewable Energies, or Chemistry
    • High autonomy in managing and developing complex systems
    • Knowledge in system development, optimization, and cost awareness
    • Experience collaborating with international project teams (advantageous)
    • Ability to develop concepts for EfW and industrial plants (advantageous)
    • Skill in analyzing OEM technologies and developing enhancement solutions
    • Independent process handling across project stages
    • Good process knowledge of HZI systems and waste-to-energy plants (advantageous)
    • Strong communication, convincing, and negotiation skills
    • Operational experience and comprehensive plant knowledge (advantageous)
    • Hands-on mentality, ability to work under pressure
    • Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
    • Integrative thinking and managing challenging situations
    • Self-driven, solution-oriented, open-minded with good communication skills
    • Proficiency with engineering tools, process methodology, MS Office (especially Excel), presentation skills
    • Fluent in English (minimum B2), additional languages are advantageous
