Job Description:

SPECTRO is a leading global supplier of analytical instruments, employing optical emission (stationary and mobile Arc/Spark OES, ICP-OES) and X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF) technology for elemental analysis in industry, research, and academia.

The Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of analytical instruments and electrical equipment. The role requires a customer-focused approach, teamwork, professional interaction with colleagues, management, clients, and other trades, and representing the company positively.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Support customers and internal activities (Sales, Admin, Operations).
2. Install and commission analytical and electrical equipment.
3. Maintain and service analytical and electrical equipment.
4. Provide support via telephone, remote (TeamViewer), and email.
5. Clarify technical issues and support the sales team.
6. Set up tests in the laboratory and prepare reports.
7. Follow work guidelines and standards of AMETEK.
8. Refer follow-up work to appropriate staff for action and recommendations.
9. Maintain a professional appearance and manner, promoting the company's image.
10. Attend training courses and meetings as required.
11. Support management and colleagues, contributing to the company's success.

Requirements:

1. Technical degree or high school diploma in a technical field.
2. Willingness to travel throughout Italy and EMEA, mainly Europe.
3. Knowledge in measurement and control technology, ideally with PLC controls.
4. Fluent in English and Italian.
5. Experience engaging with customers under pressure is preferred.
6. Computer literacy, especially MS Office and Excel.
