The Service Engineer will service Elekta products within the area of responsibility, including planned maintenance, emergency repairs, upgrades, installations, courtesy calls, and telephone support. This is a home-based role (mandatory area: Sicily region, Palermo) with travel required across the Business Unit and Cluster as directed by the line manager.

What you’ll do at Elekta

Be part of our global team, attracting top talent. Join our Service & Operations team in Italy, currently comprising nearly 40 members, with 10 service engineers in the south of Italy.

Serve customers primarily in your area and travel as needed outside your area.

Responsibilities

• Follow company policies on compliance, environment, data management, and quality systems.
• Use and update service systems and databases.
• Perform planned maintenance independently.
• Perform corrective maintenance independently.
• Diagnose and repair complex faults independently.
• Conduct local knowledge transfer and service meetings with good presentation skills.
• Provide on-the-job coaching as appropriate.
• Use IntelliMax and QlikSense to monitor and repair systems proactively.

What you bring

• Higher qualification in Engineering or a relevant field.
• Proficiency with IT technologies including Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and networking.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to Elekta and your tasks.
• Basic technical skills in electrical, electronic, and mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Europe on short notice.
• Clean driving license.
