The Service Engineer will be responsible for servicing all Elekta products within the area of responsibility. Activities include planned maintenance, emergency corrective maintenance, upgrades, installation work, courtesy calls to local customers, and telephone support either from the office in the BU or remotely. This is a home-based role (Mandatory area: Sicily region, Palermo area) with travel required throughout the Business Unit and Cluster as directed by the line manager.

What you’ll do at Elekta

Join our motivated global team, where we attract top skills. We offer an exciting opportunity to join our Service & Operations team in Italy, currently comprising nearly 40 members, including 10 service engineers in the south of Italy.

In this role, you will primarily serve customers in your area and be available for travel outside your area as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow company policies on compliance, environment, data management, and quality systems.
• Use and update the company’s service systems and databases.
• Perform all planned maintenance tasks independently.
• Handle most corrective maintenance tasks independently.
• Perform complex fault finding and repairs.
• Conduct local knowledge transfer/service meetings, demonstrating good presentation skills.
• Provide on-the-job coaching as appropriate.
• Use IntelliMax and QlikSense to monitor and repair systems proactively.

What you bring

• A higher qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Competence with IT technologies including Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and networking.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong drive and commitment to Elekta and the tasks at hand.
• Basic technical skills in Electrical, Electronic, and Mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to read electrical schematic diagrams.
• Willingness to travel extensively and on short notice within Europe.
• A clean driving license.
