Senior Workday Time Tracking & Absence Configuration Analyst, Parma

This role is with a global organisation undergoing a multi-phase HR transformation and Greenfield Workday implementation. They are seeking a Workday Time Tracking & Absence Consultant to join their HRIS team.

This is a fully remote, permanent position based in Italy or Spain. The successful candidate will lead the configuration and optimization of the Time Tracking & Absence modules, working closely with internal stakeholders and the implementation partner.

About the Role

You will actively configure Workday, shape business processes, and ensure a successful rollout of Time Tracking & Absence functionalities as part of a broader transformation program.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead functional and configuration aspects for Workday Time Tracking & Absence
• Design, configure, and test business processes in collaboration with Workday consultants and internal teams
• Translate business needs into scalable Workday configurations
• Perform core configuration tasks (eligibility rules, time codes, accruals, etc.)
• Support integration with time clocks, payroll, and third-party tools
• Lead SIT, UAT, and parallel testing phases
• Create training materials and conduct user training
• Provide post-go-live support and knowledge transfer to internal teams

Candidate Requirements

• 4–5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience (Time Tracking & Absence)
• Experience with Workday implementation projects (in-house or consulting)
• Strong understanding of HR, time, and absence business processes and compliance
• Ability to work independently on complex configurations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven attitude
