Senior Workday Time Tracking & Absence Configuration Analyst, Novara

This global organisation undergoing a multi-phase HR transformation and Greenfield Workday implementation is seeking a Workday Time Tracking & Absence Consultant to join their expanding HRIS team.

This is a fully remote, permanent role based in Italy or Spain. You will lead the configuration and optimisation of the Time Tracking & Absence modules, working closely with internal stakeholders and the implementation partner.

About the Role:

This hands-on role involves actively configuring Workday, shaping business processes, and ensuring a successful rollout of Time Tracking & Absence functionalities within a broader transformation program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the functional and configuration lead for Workday Time Tracking & Absence
  • Design, configure, and test business processes collaboratively with Workday consultants and internal teams
  • Translate business needs into scalable Workday configurations
  • Execute core configuration tasks (eligibility rules, time codes, accruals, etc.)
  • Support integration with time clocks, payroll, and third-party tools
  • Lead SIT, UAT, and parallel testing
  • Create training documentation and conduct user training
  • Provide post-go-live support and knowledge transfer to internal teams

Requirements:

  • 4–5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience (Time Tracking & Absence)
  • Workday implementation experience (in-house or consulting)
  • Strong understanding of HR, time, and absence business processes and compliance
  • Ability to work independently on complex configurations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven
