Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. is seeking a Senior Validation Engineer for our new Design Center in Catania, Italy.

You will validate analog, digital and PMICs, define validation plans, and develop automated lab workflows while collaborating with global teams across Design, Applications, Firmware, Product Engineering, and QA. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Hands-on bench validation and debugging of mixed-signal or power management ICs.
• Strong lab skills with oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, source meters, DMMs, waveform generators and logic analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Validate analog, digital, mixed-signal, and PMICs against electrical, functional, and performance specifications.
• Define validation methodologies, develop validation plans, and ensure complete feature coverage.
• Design, develop, and optimize laboratory test setups for silicon evaluation.
• Design custom evaluation boards and supporting hardware for silicon characterization.
• Develop automated validation frameworks and measurement scripts using Python.
• Perform data acquisition, statistical analysis, result correlation, and detailed reports.
• Evaluate silicon performance at device, board, and system levels and track issues.
• Generate validation reports and project status updates, meeting milestones.
• Proactively track activities and drive timely issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Design, Applications, Firmware, Product Engineering and Quality teams to resolve bugs.
• Drive continuous improvement of validation methodologies, automation, and efficiency.
• Contribute ideas to enhance validation quality, automation, productivity, and time-to-market.
