Mercor is recruiting an experienced senior software engineer based in the US or Europe for a highly challenging AI lab project. You should bring 10+ years of SWE experience, ideally from top US tech firms, and a passion for advancing model capabilities in complex tasks.

You must be able to commit around 20 hours per week for this role, for a contract spanning about 2–3 weeks. Successful contributions may lead to promotion on future projects, with pay ranging by geography and experience.

Vetting process

• 30 minute AI interview
• Asynchronous SWE exercise and project instructions quiz (2h total, paid $100 for completion)

Pay and legal status

• This role will pay $150-210/h depending on geography and experience-level
