Senior Statistician

Randstad Digital - Data Scientist/Statistician in Medical Devices

Randstad Digital, a division of Randstad Italia specializing in the recruitment and selection of ICT professionals, is seeking a talented individual for a renowned Software House involved in developing digital solutions for the medical sector. The role involves working within an international team dedicated to the development and validation of intelligent medical devices.

Responsibilities and Activities:

1. Design and implement data pipelines for collecting, cleaning, and transforming heterogeneous data, including images and metadata.
2. Utilize programming languages such as R and SQL for data integration, manipulation, and extraction from clinical and operational sources.
3. Manage the complete data lifecycle: stratification, versioning, documentation, and quality control.

Statistical Analysis and Reporting:

1. Develop statistical models to analyze distributions, identify anomalies, outliers, and significant trends.
2. Perform statistical tests and inferential analyses (e.g., t-test, ANOVA, chi-square).
3. Define criteria, thresholds, and reference intervals to ensure compliance with experimental protocols.
4. Produce technical and statistical reports for internal use and regulatory purposes.

Essential Requirements:

1. Master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related quantitative disciplines.
2. Strong knowledge of experimental design, sample size calculation, stratification methods, and inferential analysis.
3. Advanced skills in R, SQL, and Linux environments.
4. Experience managing datasets based on images and structured metadata.
5. Familiarity with data visualization and analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib).
6. Knowledge of the regulated healthcare environment, medical devices, or clinical trials.

Additional Plus:

1. Experience in DevOps or system management supporting data pipelines.
2. Ability to design coherent and analysis-oriented data structures.
3. Knowledge of data versioning tools (e.g., Git, DVC) and cloud environments.

Work Mode: Fully remote with a monthly team meeting.

Compensation: Based on experience.
