Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.? Vishay Italy is currently seeking applicants for Senior Staff Analog Design Engineer to join our team, that is involved in development of integrated circuits at the heart of modern power systems.

In this position, the successful candidate will work with an experienced team and be exposed to the entire product lifecycle from definition and requirements through IC design to silicon support.

This is a varied role with real impact on the business development of the organization.

Job Location:

The VISHAY IC Design Team located In Northern Italy will be tasked of defining/designing and bringing to production complex analog & mixed power management ICs that are going to be at the core of – but not limited to - High Peformance Computing systems.

What you will be doing:

• Development of IC architectures for Switching Regulators, DC/DC controllers, Power Stages, Smart Power Switches and other analog products.
• Specification and design of analog & mixed-signal sub-systems.
• Verification of design at block-level, IC level, and system level.
• Active participation in product and technology roadmap planning and implementation.
• Participation in and leadership of design reviews for assigned areas of responsibility.
• Design-For-Testability (DFT) implementation.
• Maintenance of engineering documents in accordance with quality processes.
• Structured tracking and implementation of design improvements.
• Support for test-engineering, product engineering and operations as well as participation in ATE data reviews, limit reviews and device yield analysis.

What you will bring along:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or higher qualification.
• 15+ years of circuit design experience in Power Mgmt ICs and Switching Regulator ICs.
• Master of power conversion topologies and underlying concepts.
• Modelling (system-verilog, verilogams) and generating specifications and validation criteria of DC-DC converter systems and sub-systems (including ADC/DAC, Reference & biasing circuits, LDO, Oscillators, PLL, Sensors, Drivers).
• Good understanding on how to plan for ESD and Latchup robust design.
• Physical understanding and use experience of CMOS/BiCMOS/BCD Process Technologies as well as of vertical technologies for discrete MOSFETs.
• Familiarity with packaging technologies, and performance implications.
• Hands-on test and characterization of ICs. Review of test results and support to System Application Engineering, Test Engineering and Product Engineering.
• Self-motivated, individual contributor with strong problem solving skills.
• Experience of working in wide-ranging roles and flexible environments.
• Proven record of product development from definition to release to production
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
