Overview

We are looking for a Senior Specialist – Process Engineer for Handling & Logistics to join our Blades Process Engineering organization in Taranto. As a senior member of the team, you will play a critical role in shaping, optimizing, and standardizing the processes that ensure safe, efficient, and reliable handling and logistics of wind turbine blades and components. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME), setting process standards, driving industrialization, solving complex issues, and ensuring that our operations meet world-class levels of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).

Responsibilities
  • Define and optimize processes for handling and logistics of blades and large components, from “as-is” analysis to “future-state” design.
  • Establish process requirements, specifications, and roadmaps for current and future needs.
  • Lead industrialization and standardization of handling and logistic processes across manufacturing sites.
  • Apply problem-solving and continuous improvement methods (Lean, Kaizen, 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA) to resolve complex issues and enhance efficiency.
  • Leverage digital tools and data analysis to monitor performance and drive process excellence.
  • Collaborate across functions and geographies, serving as a technical reference point and ensuring scalability and repeatability of solutions.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability within the factory environment.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Around 10 years of experience in process engineering roles within logistics, handling, or large-scale manufacturing.
  • Proven track record in process design, flow creation, optimization, and standardization.
  • Experience with Lean and data-driven organizations.
  • Skilled in structured problem-solving and use of tools such as FMEA, Fishbone, and 5 Whys.
  • Knowledge of composite materials (fiberglass, carbon fiber, epoxy resins) is an advantage, or willingness to learn.

  • Strong technical and analytical expertise in handling and logistics processes.
  • Ability to translate technical insights into standardized, scalable solutions.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and well-organized.
  • Comfortable working in a factory environment, close to operations.
