Job summary

EVEREC is seeking a Senior Renewable Energy Consultant to lead Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects in Italy, with hybrid working in Milan. You will drive due diligence, risk assessment and client engagement for major European projects.

The role combines technical leadership with commercial oversight, developing client relationships and supporting business growth within an employee-owned consultancy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in renewable energy consultancy.
• Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Solar PV and BESS is preferred.
• Fluent Italian and English are essential.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical and commercial due diligence for Solar PV, BESS and hybrid renewable energy projects.
• Assess project risks relating to grid connections, permitting, land agreements, environmental constraints and project design.
• Evaluate technical and commercial risks impacting project timelines, CAPEX, OPEX and investment returns.
• Deliver owner's engineering and technical advisory services to developers, investors, lenders and operators.
• Manage multiple renewable energy projects, coordinating internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Develop relationships with existing and prospective clients across Italian Solar and BESS markets.
• Review construction and operational contracts, identifying commercial implications and risks.
• Collaborate with international teams across Spain, Portugal, France and the UK.
