Senior Softwareentwickler Java (m / w / d)

Zillow’s Data Management team supports the most critical datasets in Zillow, powering Zillow’s key initiatives. The team works with near real-time and batch data products to provide high-quality datasets for analytics.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Zillow Group's Data Management team, you will play a central role in powering analytical and ML teams by providing validated, high-quality property datasets that serve as a single source of truth across the organization.

• Design, implement, and own mission-critical ETL pipelines.
• Contribute to the architecture and development of near real-time and batch data products.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, data scientists, and ML engineers to productionalize analytic solutions.
• Enable product engineering teams to onboard their data using data mesh principles and architecture.

Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office and work from a location of their choice, identified to the company. Employees may live anywhere in Mexico, with occasional travel to Mexico City for office events.

In addition to a competitive salary and benefits, this position is eligible for bonuses based on experience, performance, and location.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience designing and building complex, scalable, reliable data pipelines using Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Presto, Airflow, Kinesis, or equivalents.
• 5+ years of software development experience with proficiency in Python, Java, Scala, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with distributed databases, streaming, and batch-processing systems.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken).
