Rockwell Automation is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to lead testing strategy for FactoryTalk Optix, including hardware/PLC environments and automation frameworks. Hybrid schedule in Verona, Italy, with global teams and a focus on scalable, reliable test solutions.

You will mentor engineers, guide test infrastructure, and drive CI/CD test integration while ensuring comprehensive test coverage for complex industrial software products.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of software testing experience, including automation.
• Experience designing and building test strategies for complex software products.
• Solid programming in Python (and familiarity with C++, C#, or .NET).
• Hands-on experience with PLCs and industrial hardware configuration.
• Experience managing test environments including hardware, networks, and virtualization (VMware).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and SAFe.
• English skills.

As a Senior Software Test Engineer, you will drive the testing strategy and execution for FactoryTalk® Optix™, a modern visualization platform that accelerates value delivery through innovative technologies, scalable deployment, and seamless integration with industrial systems. You will act as the technical reference for testing activities, owning the test infrastructure (including hardware and PLC-based environments), defining best practices, and guiding other test engineers across global teams. This role combines deep technical expertise, hands‑on hardware/PLC capability, and leadership in test strategy and execution. You will report to the Test & Technical Project Manager and have a hybrid schedule working in Verona, Italy.

Your Responsibilities:

Essentials - You Will Have:

The salary range for this position is between 37,600,00 – 56,400,00 EUR annual, this includes all bonuses.
