AeroVect is seeking a Senior Software Safety Engineer to lead safety lifecycle tasks for autonomous software and hardware platforms. You will perform hazard identification, derive safety requirements, and collaborate across systems, software, robotics, and hardware teams to ensure safety is integrated and verifiable.

Responsibilities include conducting FMEA/FTA analyses, defining SSRs, and reviewing safety-critical code in C++/Python within Linux/RTOS environments.

Competenze

• 5+ years of hands-on safety engineering in autonomous systems.
• Experience with ISO 26262, DO-178C/DO-254 or IEC 61508 safety standards.
• Experience with safety analysis methods (FMEA, FTA, HARA, STPA) and safety case development.
• Strong programming in C++/Python and code review experience.
• Ability to work in a high-velocity agile team under mentorship.

Mansioni

• Conduct software hazard and safety analyses on perception, motion planning, localization, and vehicle control modules.
• Execute software FMEA/FTA, freedom-from-interference analysis, and code-level hazard evaluations.
• Derive Software Safety Requirements and define monitoring/fail-safe mechanisms in Linux/RTOS environments.
• Review safety-critical C++/Python code and robotics middleware with development teams.
• Develop Safety Performance Indicators to measure safety performance over time.
