Job summary

Lansweeper is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Rome, Italy, joining the Data Science Team to shape AI-driven data processing at scale. Hybrid: 3 days in office, with exposure to cloud-native pipelines and a distributed data platform.

You will influence architecture, collaborate across teams, and apply AI-assisted workflows to develop robust systems processing massive datasets for global asset intelligence.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer in cloud-based or data-driven systems.
• Hands-on with AI tools for coding, refactoring, testing, and documentation.
• Strong experience with Java and Go (or Python, Spark, Spring, TypeScript).
• Cloud environments including AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform.
• CI/CD pipelines with CircleCI, ArgoCD; Git, Kafka, Hadoop, Cassandra.
• SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL and ClickHouse.
• Experience with testing frameworks Mockito, Testcontainers, Localstack.
• Familiarity with observability tools Grafana, OpenSearch.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable, cloud-native data processing services in Java and Go.
• Work in an AI-augmented workflow: guide AI tools and ensure production-grade quality.
• Own technical decisions and long-term system health.
• Contribute to architecture design and cross-team strategy.
• Build and optimize ETL pipelines and data enrichment workflows.
• Develop RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints.
• Ensure strong test automation, code quality, and CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams.
