Full Remote – Sports Analytics Industry Senior Software Engineer - Budget: 60K

A dynamic and forward-thinking group in the sports and betting sector, heavily focused on technology and data, is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join its tech team. The goal is to revolutionize the sports data industry by expanding its products to more sports globally and enhancing its portfolio with cutting-edge betting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to backend API development and implement new services.
• Prototype, test, deploy, and maintain new backend functionalities.
• Enhance web-based products with high-performance APIs.
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate algorithms and new components.
• Participate in product discussions and decision-making in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• 5+ years of experience with Java (Java 8+) and/or Spring in developing scalable, high-performance components.
• 3+ years of experience working with databases.
• Proven experience in REST API integration.
• Familiarity with low-latency distributed systems.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with NoSQL databases (preferably MongoDB).
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka and distributed system communication.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Familiarity with Reactive programming.
• Experience with Python.
• Previous experience in betting, gaming, or sports analytics industry.
