Job Description

We are a professional team of recruiting specialists searching for talents in Ukraine, Europe, and the USA. Currently, we are seeking a Senior Back-end Engineer for XTEL. The Senior Backend Developer will be responsible for product design and implementation, supporting field sales management and trade optimization processes, and managing complex planning and execution activities. You will play a key role in transforming the solution to SaaS, focusing on refactoring and service transformation.

Responsibilities

1. Lead development and refactoring of advanced product capabilities, analyzing key information to provide insightful technical recommendations.
2. Support design reviews to ensure solutions align with architecture, security, scalability, and maintainability standards.
3. Gather requirements, design, implement, deploy, and monitor the product capabilities in production.
4. Estimate development efforts for new features and enhancements collaboratively with the Scrum team.
5. Provide engineering leadership, contributing to engineering standards and best practices.
6. Develop and maintain software ensuring quality, responsiveness, security, modifiability, extensibility, and performance.
7. Collaborate with Scrum teams, project managers, UX designers, other developers, systems analysts, and sales/marketing professionals on a SaaS solution based on Microsoft technologies and hosted on Azure.
8. Assist in architecting solutions to support field sales management and trade optimization activities.

Candidate Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Experience in legacy code refactoring.
• Proficiency in C# programming.
• Practical experience applying SOLID principles and Design Patterns.
• Experience writing Unit and Integration Tests.
• Fluent English communication skills for daily collaboration across Europe.
• Understanding of professional software engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Experience developing distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications.
• Experience working within a microservice-oriented architecture.
• Knowledge of database query performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience in the Consumer Goods/Retail sector and familiarity with commercial processes such as trade promotions, sales agreements, sales force automation, incentives management, and retail execution is advantageous.
