Job summary

E80 Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the evolution of the SM.I.LE80 product. You will collaborate across robotics, software engineering, automation and networking in a fully Agile environment.

You will co-lead design and development, ensure code quality, mentor peers, and help maintain a holistic system view while documenting requirements and sharing knowledge to empower the team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in software or CS engineering or equivalent.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years in .NET Core / C# development.

• In a highly collaborative context co-lead and contribute to the software design & development/testing activities necessary to deliver new features/value as part of the SM.I.LE80 ecosystem evolution.
• Tightly collaborate with peers, both intra team and with other teams/functions. Take care of the code, that everybody owns, ensuring it evolves organically.
• Pursue to be elegant and efficient at the same time. Quality is everybody responsibility.

About The Job

Within SM.I.LE80 engineering organization we are looking for Senior Software Engineer who can actively and effectively contribute to the evolution of SM.I.LE80 product, bringing in his experience and willing to learn about the unique blend of robotics, software engineering, automation and networking we have. Requirements

• Master Degree in software/computer science engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years of working experience in the software engineering space
• 5+ years of deep working experience with .Net Core/C#
• Proven experience with software design patterns and OOD, DDD, TDD methodologies
• Extensive working experience on Relational Databases (SQL Server / PostgreSQL). Deep knowledge of SQL (T/SQL) programming
• and usage of ORM frameworks
• Working experience with microservice / event driven architectures and related patterns / technologies, including APIs, message
• brokers, containers/docker, etc
• Experience with Web services / API development
• Experience with unit test tools and hands on with Git & Git-flow
• Fluent English

Preferred Qualifications

• Working experience within the industrial automation, telco or mission critical software is highly appreciated
• Working experience with BPNM/Workflow engines and BRE/Rules Engines, together with interest in operations research and routing algorithms are highly appreciated.
• Working experience with cloud native software applications, both in private/hybrid environments and hosted on the major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, etc). Moreover experience with Edge & Fog computing is highly appreciated.
• Knowledge of Windows Server & Linux OS internals & CLI/shell etc
• Knowledge of actor systems paradigm and in particular of AKKA.net framework
