Senior Back-end Engineer at XTEL

We are a professional team of recruiting specialists searching for talents in Ukraine, Europe, and the USA. Currently, we are looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer to join XTEL. The Senior Backend Developer will be responsible for product design and implementation, supporting field sales management and trade optimization processes, and managing complex planning and execution activities. You will play a key role in transitioning the solution to SaaS, focusing on refactoring and transforming areas into services.

1. Lead the development and refactoring of advanced product capabilities, analyzing key information, and providing insightful technical recommendations.
2. Support design reviews to ensure solutions align with architecture, security, scalability, and maintainability guidelines.
3. Gather requirements, design, implement, deploy, and monitor services in production.
4. Estimate development efforts for new features and enhancements collaboratively within the Scrum team.
5. Provide engineering leadership and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
6. Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive, secure, and efficient software, ensuring modifiability, extensibility, and performance.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Scrum members, project managers, UX designers, and sales/marketing professionals on a SaaS solution based on Microsoft technologies and hosted on Azure.
8. Assist in architecting solutions to support field sales management and trade optimization activities.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Experience in legacy code refactoring.
• Proficiency in C# programming.
• Practical experience applying SOLID principles and Design Patterns.
• Experience writing Unit Tests & Integration Tests.
• Fluent English skills for daily communication with European colleagues.
• Understanding of professional software engineering practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Experience developing distributed/scalable systems and high-volume transaction applications.
• Experience working within a microservice-oriented architecture.
• Knowledge of database query performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience in the Consumer Goods/Retail sector and familiarity with commercial processes like trade promotions, sales agreements, and retail execution is advantageous.
