PURPOSE :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Social Media Lead to lead our social media strategy across all platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving local fan engagement, expanding our global social footprint, and ensuring our brand voice remains authentic and aligned with our club values.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to engage fans, promote matches, and increase brand visibility across platforms (Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), with support from internal stakeholders.
  • Create, curate, and manage high-quality, engaging social content including graphics, videos, photos, and live updates from matches, training sessions, and press events, in collaboration with our Creative Team.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics, providing insights to refine strategies and boost fan engagement.
  • Lead the social media team, managing daily operations such as scheduling content and maintaining brand consistency across platforms.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sport Communications, Partnerships, and Creative teams to align social media campaigns with broader marketing initiatives, including promotions and sponsorships.
  • Stay updated on trends in social media, digital marketing, and football culture to innovate and enhance the club’s digital presence.
  • Manage relationships with social media influencers and external agencies in collaboration with the marketing communications team to maximize reach and effectiveness.
  • Ensure a consistent brand voice, delivering clear messaging aligned with the club's values and objectives.

SKILLS :

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in social media management, ideally within sports or related industries.
  • Expertise in all major social media platforms and tools, with a deep understanding of each platform’s algorithms, features, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Understanding of team budget management.
  • Proficiency with social media analytics tools and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Creativity and storytelling skills, with a passion for football and fan culture.
  • Organized, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with professionalism in handling crises or sensitive topics.
  • Proficiency in written English and Italian is essential.
