Job summary

RINA in Genova, with offices in Genoa, Rome and Milan, seeks a Principal Social Compliance Consultant to lead social impact assessments, due diligences, and stakeholder engagement across complex projects within the Sustainability and Business Innovation division.

The role develops robust social management plans and ensures compliance with international standards, advising clients and teams throughout lifecycles. Fluency in English and Italian (C1) is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Sociology or Political Science is required.
• 15+ years of leading social impact assessments and due diligences for complex projects.
• Fluency in English and Italian (C1) mandatory; French/Arabic/Spanish preferred in roles?

Responsibilities

• Lead Social Impact Assessments, Due Diligences and Engagement Processes.
• Develop robust social management plans (e.g., social impacts, resettlement) with a focus on inclusion.
• Ensure delivery of services aligns with international standards and best practices.
• Provide strategic guidance to clients and internal teams across project lifecycles.
• Conduct on-site site visits and document findings to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets, schedules, and deliverables with senior oversight.
