Evolunar is a deep-tech aerospace startup developing autonomous navigation for UAVs. We seek a Senior SLAM Engineer to lead perception and state estimation, from front-end feature tracking to back-end estimation, delivering production-ready C++ code for flight computers.

You will work at the intersection of computer vision, sensor fusion, and state estimation with a small robotics team and contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and field testing in GNSS-denied environments.

Competenze

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field, or a BSc with equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years developing perception and state estimation for real-time robotic systems.
• Strong grounding in probabilistic estimation: EKF and/or factor graphs.
• Deep understanding of visual-inertial odometry and multi-sensor fusion.
• Track record designing and debugging core SLAM components.
• Solid CV fundamentals: multi-view geometry and camera models.
• Real experience writing optimized production C++ code.
• MATLAB and/or Python for prototyping, analysis, tooling.

Mansioni

• Design, prototype, and validate SLAM, visual-inertial odometry, and state estimation algorithms.
• Own the front-end: feature detection and tracking, data association, outlier rejection, multi-camera geometry.
• Own the back-end: EKF or factor graphs, sensor fusion, loop closure, relocalization, observability.
• Support integration and flight testing, debug with flight data, feed learnings back into algorithms.
• Write efficient and optimized production C++ code.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and team growth.
