Main Duties and Responsibilities:

The Senior Sales Manager MICE is responsible for driving business from the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE) segment. This includes developing strategic relationships with corporations, event agencies, PCOs (Professional Conference Organizers), and DMCs (Destination Management Companies), securing group bookings, and maximizing hotel revenue through tailored sales initiatives.

  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key MICE clients and partners.
  • Build and execute a MICE sales strategy to achieve room night, event space, and revenue targets.
  • Organize and conduct site inspections, client meetings, and sales trips to promote the hotel.
  • Respond promptly to MICE RFPs with customized proposals and creative solutions.
  • Negotiate group contracts ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and roadshows.
  • Partner with catering, banquet, and operational teams to ensure event execution excellence.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies.
  • Maintain a strong presence in local and international MICE markets.
  • Regularly update the CRM with client activities and maintain accurate forecasting and reporting

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar MICE-focused role within the hotel industry.
  • Proven success in selling to corporate and MICE clientele.
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Full Time CCNL (Italian Collective Bargaining Agreement)

This position is based in Castelfalfi (FI), Tuscany. Availability of staff accommodation upon request. Candidates should have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. You must possess the legal right to work in Italy.
