LANXESS Italy is currently seeking strong, motivated, and talented individuals with appropriate sales and technical experience for the position of Senior Sales Manager Material Protection Products – Industrial Business line portfolio (MPP BU).

Location: Italy (travel expected within Europe)

The product range is diverse, with a focus on paints & coatings and construction chemicals markets.

Within the BU MPP strategy, the Senior Sales Manager will develop customer strategies and business cases to ensure growth in BU MPP Sales Biocides for the Industrial business line.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the MPP IND sales in Italy and Greece.
  • Securing and developing the existing customer portfolio while providing high-quality technical and regulatory support.
  • Visiting customers to assess needs and promote products and services.
  • Providing or facilitating training and technical assistance, including hygiene audits and product use presentations.
  • Creating and updating customer files to ensure data quality.
  • Collaborating with technical marketing, R&D, regulatory affairs, and product management teams, as well as sales and segment leaders.
  • Providing accurate sales forecasts and contributing to annual budgets and objectives.
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and market fluctuations.
  • Communicating market needs internally.
  • Overseeing local MPP Industrial business activities and team.

Minimum requirements:

  • At least 10 years of successful sales experience in the chemical or related industries.
  • Knowledge of the industrial biocides sector, biocidal product regulation, and experience in biocide applications is essential.
  • Previous experience in people management or team coordination.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Italy and the EMEA region.
  • Native Italian speaker with excellent English skills.
