Job Description : Senior Sales Manager (Air & Ocean Freight)
Location : Italy (Flexible in terms of location)
Our client is an independent international freight forwarder experiencing growth in Italy. They are part of a larger, well-established group within the logistics industry, leveraging their parent company's resources to expand their operations. The company is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to develop their Air and Ocean Freight business, especially in new verticals. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to contribute to the expansion of a thriving logistics business.
Key Responsibilities :
- Drive the development and growth of multiple freight sales strategies, ensuring consistent expansion in new and existing markets.
- Establish and grow new verticals, supporting the company's expansion in Italy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including those in specialised sectors such as food and beverage, project cargo, and luxury goods.
- Support a small but growing sales team, fostering a collaborative and high-energy sales culture.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Italy, with flexibility regarding regions of focus.
- Leverage the support and knowledge of a global leader to drive new business and enhance the company's presence in Italy and internationally.
Qualifications :
- Strong background in ocean freight; experience in air freight and road transport is advantageous.
- Experience or specialization in sectors such as food and beverage, project cargo, or luxury goods is beneficial.
- Ideally based in Milan, Tuscany, Venice, Genoa, or Rome, with the ability to develop business in local territories.
- A driven, hands-on individual with the ambition to grow and lead within a rapidly expanding business.
