Job Description : Senior Sales Manager (Air & Ocean Freight)

They maintain their autonomy while leveraging the resources, support, and scale of their parent company to drive growth and success. This company is seeking a Senior Sales Manager for their expanding Air and Ocean Freight operations. The role offers an exciting opportunity for a hands-on senior commercial manager who can work autonomously and develop new verticals. This position is ideal for an ambitious individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and aims to play a key role in the company's expansion.
Key Responsibilities :
- Drive the development and growth of multiple products and freight sales strategies to ensure consistent business expansion in new and existing markets.
- Establish and grow new verticals, contributing to the company's ambition to expand its footprint in Italy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including those in specialised sectors such as food and beverage, project cargo, and luxury goods.
- Support a small but growing team, fostering a collaborative and high-energy sales culture as a senior figure in the office.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Italy, with flexibility regarding regions of focus.
- Leverage knowledge and support from a global leader to drive new business and bolster the company's position both in Italy and internationally.
Qualifications :
- Strong background in ocean freight; experience in air freight and road transport is beneficial.
- Experience or specialization in verticals such as food and beverage, project cargo, or luxury goods is advantageous.
- Ideally based in Milan, Tuscany, Venice, Genoa, or Rome, with the ability to grow business in local territories.
- A driven, hands-on individual with the ambition to grow and lead within a rapidly expanding business.
