Job Description : Senior Sales Manager (Air & Ocean Freight)

Location : Italy (Flexible in terms of location)

Our client is an independent international freight forwarder growing in Italy, with strong ties to a global logistics leader, part of a larger, well-established group. They maintain autonomy while leveraging resources, support, and scale from their parent company to drive growth.

This client seeks a Senior Sales Manager for their expanding Air and Ocean Freight operations. The role involves working autonomously to develop new verticals, making it ideal for an ambitious individual in a dynamic environment, aiming to play a key role in the company's expansion.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Sales Development : Drive growth of multiple products and freight sales strategies, ensuring business expansion in new and existing markets.
  • Business Growth : Establish and grow new verticals, supporting the company's expansion in Italy.
  • Client Relations : Build and maintain relationships with key clients, including those in sectors like food & beverage, project cargo, and luxury goods.
  • Team Leadership : Support a small but growing team, fostering a collaborative sales culture.
  • Market Expansion : Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Italy, with regional flexibility.
  • Global Collaboration : Leverage knowledge of a global leader to drive new business and support the company's international presence.

Qualifications :

  • Experience : Strong ocean freight background; air freight experience a plus; road transport experience beneficial.
  • Specialisation : Experience in verticals like food & beverage, project cargo, or luxury goods advantageous.
  • Location : Ideally based in Milan, Tuscany, Venice, Genoa, or Rome, with ability to grow business locally.
