Job Description :

Senior Sales Manager (Air & Ocean Freight)

Location: Italy (Flexible in terms of location)

Our client is an independent international freight forwarder that is expanding in Italy. They are part of a larger, well-established group within the logistics industry, leveraging the resources and support of their parent company to drive growth. They are seeking a dedicated Senior Sales Manager for their expanding Air and Ocean Freight operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to work autonomously and develop new business verticals in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Drive development and growth of multiple products and freight sales strategies to expand business in new and existing markets.
  • Establish and develop new verticals, contributing to the company's expansion in Italy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including those in specialised sectors such as food and beverage, project cargo, and luxury goods.
  • Support and lead a small team, fostering a collaborative sales culture.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Italy, with flexibility regarding regional focus.
  • Leverage the support of a global leader to enhance business development locally and internationally.
Qualifications :
  • Strong background in ocean freight; experience in air freight and road transport is beneficial.
  • Experience or specialisation in verticals such as food and beverage, project cargo, or luxury goods is advantageous.
  • Ideally based in Milan, Tuscany, Venice, Genoa, or Rome, with the ability to grow business in local territories.
  • Ambitious and driven individual eager to lead and grow within a rapidly expanding business.
