Job Description : Senior Sales Manager (Air & Ocean Freight)
Location : Italy (Flexible in terms of location)
Our client is an independent international freight forwarder experiencing growth in Italy. They are part of a larger, well-established group within the logistics industry, leveraging the resources and support of their parent company to expand their market presence. The company is seeking a Senior Sales Manager for their expanding Air and Ocean Freight operations. This role requires a proactive, autonomous senior commercial manager capable of developing new verticals. It offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to influence the growth of a dynamic logistics business.
Key Responsibilities :
- Sales Development : Drive the growth of multiple freight products and sales strategies to ensure consistent expansion in new and existing markets.
- Business Expansion : Establish and develop new verticals, contributing to the company's growth in Italy.
- Client Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including those in specialized sectors such as food & beverage, project cargo, and luxury goods.
- Team Leadership : Support and lead a small but growing sales team, fostering a collaborative and high-energy sales environment.
- Market Growth : Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Italy, with flexibility regarding regional focus.
- Global Collaboration : Leverage knowledge and support from a global leader to drive new business and strengthen the company's international position.
Qualifications :
- Experience : Strong background in ocean freight; experience in air freight and road transport is advantageous.
- Specialization : Experience in sectors such as food & beverage, project cargo, or luxury goods is beneficial.
- Location : Ideally based in Milan, Tuscany, Venice, Genoa, or Rome, with the ability to grow business in these regions.
