Job Description : Senior Sales Manager (Air & Ocean Freight)

Location : Italy (Flexible in terms of location)

Our client is an independent international freight forwarder growing in Italy, with strong ties to a global leader in the logistics industry, being part of a larger, well-established group. They maintain their autonomy while leveraging the resources, support, and scale of their parent company to drive growth and success. This company seeks a Senior Sales Manager for their expanding Air and Ocean Freight operations. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to play a key role in the expansion of a thriving logistics business.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Sales Development : Drive the growth of multiple products and freight sales strategies, ensuring business expansion in new and existing markets.
  • Business Growth : Establish and develop new verticals, contributing to the company's expansion efforts in Italy.
  • Client Relations : Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including those in sectors such as food and beverage, project cargo, and luxury goods.
  • Team Leadership : Support and lead a small but growing sales team, fostering a collaborative and energetic sales culture.
  • Market Expansion : Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Italy, with flexibility regarding regional focus.
  • Global Collaboration : Leverage support from a global leader to drive new business and strengthen the company's presence in Italy and internationally.

Qualifications :

  • Experience : Strong background in ocean freight; experience in air freight and road transport is a plus.
  • Specialisation : Experience in verticals such as food and beverage, project cargo, or luxury goods is advantageous.
  • Location : Ideally based in Milan, Tuscany, Venice, Genoa, or Rome, with ability to grow business in local territories.
