LANXESS Italy is seeking strong, motivated, and talented individuals with sales and technical experience for the position of Senior Sales Manager Material Protection Products – Industrial Business line portfolio (MPP BU).

Geographical scope: Italy (travel within Europe expected)

The products and applications are diverse, focusing on paints & coatings and construction chemicals markets.

Main Responsibilities:

Within the BU MPP strategy, develop customer strategies and business cases to ensure growth in Italy and Greece.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead sales efforts in Italy and Greece.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships with quality support.
  • Identify new opportunities and generate leads.
  • Visit customers to assess needs and promote products.
  • Provide training and technical assistance, including hygiene audits and product use presentations.
  • Maintain accurate customer data.
  • Collaborate with marketing, R&D, regulatory, and sales teams.
  • Negotiate prices, targets, and terms.
  • Forecast sales and contribute to budgeting.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
  • Communicate market insights internally.
  • Oversee local MPP activities and team.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Master's in Chemistry, Science, Engineering, or related.
  • 10+ years successful sales experience in chemicals or related industries.
  • Knowledge of industrial biocides and regulation.
  • Experience in team management.
  • Willingness to travel within Italy and EMEA.
  • Native Italian and fluent in English.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Result-oriented approach.
