Job Description :

Senior Sales Manager (Air & Ocean Freight)

Location :

Italy (Flexible in terms of location)

Our client is an independent international freight forwarder that is expanding in Italy. They are part of a larger, well-established group in the logistics industry, leveraging their parent company's resources to drive growth. They seek a Senior Sales Manager to develop their Air and Ocean Freight operations, working autonomously to expand new verticals. This role is ideal for an ambitious individual eager to grow within a dynamic logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for multiple products and freight services to ensure business growth in new and existing markets.
  • Establish and expand new verticals, contributing to the company's growth in Italy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including those in sectors like food and beverage, project cargo, and luxury goods.
  • Support and lead a small sales team, fostering a collaborative and energetic sales culture.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Italy, with flexibility regarding regional focus.
  • Leverage support from a global leader to drive new business and strengthen the company's market position both locally and internationally.

Qualifications :

  • Strong experience in ocean freight; experience in air freight and road transport is a plus.
  • Experience or specialization in verticals such as food and beverage, project cargo, or luxury goods is advantageous.
  • Ideally based in Milan, Tuscany, Venice, Genoa, or Rome, with the ability to develop business in local territories.
  • A driven, proactive individual with ambition to grow and lead within a rapidly expanding company.
