Overview

Senior Sales Account Manager Silanes Europe role at Momentive. This position is responsible for developing and executing the OFS Global strategy, in close collaboration with Global Sales Leader, PM and Regional Segment Leader CAS & P / E in Europe. The role includes a strategic component and requires strong leadership to drive strategy through other account managers and ensure flawless execution across all sales teams. The position also manages composite key accounts, introducing with technical support NPI and developing the Composite specialty sales.

Responsibilities
  • Driving growth and optimizing profitability (balancing plant loading including JV partner / Maximizing prices).
  • Developing appropriate strategy in close collaboration with Global sales leader and Global PM to secure sustainable market share in Europe
  • Ensuring execution of the strategies and removing roadblocks that may prevent adoption.
  • Responsible for the OFS in the region including at customers not under direct responsibility
  • Directly responsible for about 3 -5 accounts including Global key account in the Composite market.
  • Leading Channel partners in the Area to grow the OFS business to the targeted level, and find alternative ones, in case performance of distributors do not meet expectations in cooperation with Global Sales Leader.
  • Develop, drive and execute specialty composite strategy in close collaboration with the Global Sales Leader and the Global Marketing Leader.
  • Responsible to drive and lead strategy and sales execution at customers managed by other account managers (in collaboration with Global sales leader and regional segment leader).
  • Work closely in conjunction with Global sales leader and PM to drive results
  • Effectively collecting market intelligence and feeding it back into Salesforce
  • Pro-actively solving business problems that prevent us from achieving our sales targets
  • To be successful, this role will need to work closely with other members of the CAS / P&E team including the regional segment leader, the ADEs, the Global Product Manager, to ensure that all plans and strategies are aligned
Qualifications

The following are required for the role

  • B.S. Degree in chemical or science related field
  • 8+ years of professional experience in chemical or composite or tire industry with at least 3-5 of those years in a sales related role
  • Strong cross-functional manager who can foster teamwork and drive change throughout the organization
  • Proven ability to develop and execute on strategies generating positive results
  • Self-directed and able to make difficult decisions quickly
  • Solution driven mindset with focus on details and ability to capture the big picture
  • Self-motivated, organized, and a team player with influential skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, ERP / CRM-tools such as Salesforce & SAP
  • Strong written and oral English communication skills
  • Travel 50% required

  • Previous marketing and / or technical experience
