The Role
Your Impact
  • Account and Relationship Management: Responsible for developing and managing relationships at all levels within the customer organization.
  • Solution Articulation and Development: Articulate the business value of solutions to customers and lead efforts to develop solutions that meet their needs, coordinating support, service, and management resources to meet account objectives and customer expectations.
  • Understanding Customer Business: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the customer's business priorities, initiatives, and industry trends, integrating industry and solution knowledge.
  • Software Usage Knowledge: Have a complete understanding of current usage of AspenTech software, white space, and competitive software within the account.
  • Challenging Business Practices: Ability to challenge customers’ current processes to drive results.
  • Account Planning and Opportunity Management: Responsible for strategic account planning, opportunity management, pipeline development, and competitive displacement within CRM tools.
  • Sales Process Management: Respond to RFPs, prepare bids, negotiate, and close sales.
  • Account Updates and Forecasting: Provide sales updates, forecasts, and accurately predict deal closures for current and future business.
  • Sales Quota Achievement: Achieve set sales targets.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Industrial, Production, or Petroleum Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience selling to customers in the Energy/Petroleum/Engineering industry.
  • Familiarity with process modeling software, advanced process control, manufacturing execution systems, and planning solutions preferred.
  • Knowledge of asset management, maintenance, chemical production, and supply chain processes.
  • Industry knowledge of process manufacturing.
