Aspen Tech is seeking a dedicated account manager to drive sales and relationship development within the Energy and Petroleum sectors. This full-time remote position in Italy involves articulating business value to customers, managing strategic account plans, and achieving sales quotas through effective negotiation and customer engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree and have experience in the industry, with comprehensive knowledge of process manufacturing.

The Role
Your Impact
  • Responsible for account and relationship development and management at all levels of the customer organization.
  • Articulate solution business value to customers and lead solution development efforts that address customer needs, coordinating support, service, and management resources to meet account objectives and customer expectations.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the customer's business priorities and initiatives, discussing relevant industry trends and solutions.
  • Understand current usage of AspenTech software, white space, and competitive software within the account.
  • Challenge customers’ current processes to drive results.
  • Manage strategic account plans, opportunity management, competitive displacement, and pipeline development within CRM.
  • Respond to RFPs, prepare bids, negotiate, and close sales.
  • Provide account updates and sales forecasts to management.
  • Forecast deals accurately for current and future business and achieve sales quotas.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Industrial, Production, or Petroleum Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience selling to customers in the Energy/Petroleum/Engineering sectors.
  • Familiarity with process modeling software, advanced process control, manufacturing execution systems, and planning solutions.
  • Knowledge of asset management, maintenance, chemical production, and supply chain processes.
  • Industry knowledge of process manufacturing.
