Kaigos srl is building the autonomy layer for industrial robots, starting with welding, where a robot must perceive a seam, plan a path, and adapt parameters in real time against molten metal that doesn’t forgive mistakes, literally steering a controlled explosion.

We are looking for a Mid/Senior Robotics Engineer to join our Robotics team and have an active role of the company's perception strategy, from 3D reconstruction of parts to be welded, to real-time tracking during the welding process,

Competenze

• Deployed robots in production and met real customer requirements.
• Experience with robotics perception, computer vision, and real-time systems.
• Strong C++ and Python skills; comfortable with Linux and Docker.
• Master's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electronics, or Software Engineering (PhD a plus).
• Nice-to-have: motion planning, embedded programming, full-stack software.

Mansioni

• Part reconstruction and seam detection from CAD and 3D scans.
• Scene perception and 3D reconstruction for welding environments.
• Define sensing strategy and select sensors; contribute to perception approach.
