BairesDev is seeking a Java Distributed Systems Engineer to design and build large-scale distributed systems that ensure data consistency, high availability, and fault tolerance.

You will join a 100% remote global team of the world’s Top 1% tech talent with flexible hours and competitive compensation in USD or your local currency. The role requires 8+ years in software engineering, advanced Java and gRPC expertise, and deep knowledge of microservices and distributed protocols.

Competenze

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on distributed systems.
• Proven expertise in designing and building systems that handle consensus, replication, and fault tolerance at scale.
• Advanced proficiency in Java and experience with high-performance networking using gRPC.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and distributed consistency protocols.
• Strong background in systems programming beyond standard CRUD operations.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

• Architect and implement distributed coordination and consensus protocols to manage system state.
• Design highly available architectures that eliminate single points of failure through data replication.
• Optimize Java-based services for low latency and high throughput using gRPC and efficient networking.
