KLK EMMERICH GmbH is seeking a Senior Regulatory Affairs Expert to lead regulatory systems development and ensure European compliance across the product lifecycle. You will liaise with authorities and cross-functional teams across Europe, including Italy, to drive REACH, CLP, and related regulatory initiatives.

The role requires five+ years in Regulatory Affairs within chemical manufacturing, fluent Italian and English, and a proactive, collaboration-focused mindset in an international matrix

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology, or related field.
• At least five years of experience in Regulatory Affairs in chemical manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of REACH, CLP, and European legislation.
• Knowledge of toxicology/ecotoxicology is advantageous.
• Experience with Dangerous Goods regulations is a plus.
• Excellent Italian and English communication; German/French/Dutch helpful.
• Ability to communicate regulatory requirements across stakeholders.
• Proactive, structured, solution-oriented, with intercultural collaboration.

Mission And Responsibilities

• Supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Regulatory Affairs and Product Stewardship systems.
• Monitoring and assessing regulatory developments related to chemical products, environmental protection, health, and safety requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, including product classification, labeling, packaging, and registration requirements.
• Providing regulatory guidance and support to various business functions and production sites across Europe.
• Acting as a point of contact for authorities, industry associations, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Supporting REACH compliance activities and other regulatory initiatives within the organization.
• Participating in REACH consortia and external industry working groups relevant to our product portfolio.
• Collaborating closely with international and cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of regulatory processes, standards, and best practices.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology, or a related scientific discipline.
• At least five years of professional experience in Regulatory Affairs within an industrial or chemical manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of chemical regulations, including REACH, CLP, and other relevant European legislation.
• Knowledge of toxicology and ecotoxicology would be an advantage.
• Experience with Dangerous Goods regulations is considered a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in Italian and English; additional language skills such as German, French, or Dutch are advantageous.
• The ability to communicate and implement regulatory requirements effectively across different stakeholders.
• A proactive, structured, and solution-oriented working style.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in an international and intercultural environment.
• Experience working within a matrix organization and across multiple locations.
• A valid work permit and the right to work and reside in Italy.
