We’re looking for a Senior Quality & Problem-Solving Expert (Master Black Belt) to lead advanced reactive problem‑solving across major automotive programs. The role drives structured methodologies such as Shainin Red X, Kepner‑Tregoe, and Six Sigma to identify root causes, implement robust corrective actions, and strengthen continuous improvement culture across engineering, manufacturing, and quality functions.

  • Location: Turin, Italy (with cross‑site collaboration across Europe)
  • Contract type: Permanent or freelance

Responsibilities
  • Lead and facilitate complex problem‑solving sessions (Shainin Red X, Kepner‑Tregoe, 8D).
  • Diagnose high‑impact product and process issues to enable rapid, effective containment and permanent fixes.
  • Coach and mentor engineering and quality teams on structured problem‑solving techniques.
  • Support root‑cause activities across software, hardware, and manufacturing domains.
  • Define, track, and verify corrective actions (closed‑loop verification).
  • Integrate lessons learned and design standards into preventive processes.
  • Apply data‑driven and statistical tools (SPC, DOE) when needed.
  • Report outcomes and recommendations to management and global stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with suppliers and internal teams to ensure robust quality improvements.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Manufacturing, or related Engineering.
  • Certified Master Black Belt (Shainin Red X / Kepner‑Tregoe / Six Sigma) highly preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing or product quality.
  • Proven experience leading structured root‑cause analysis and cross‑functional corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in problem‑solving and statistical tools (SPC, DOE, PFMEA, Control Plans).
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.
  • International experience and cross‑cultural collaboration mindset.
  • Fluent English; Italian or other European language is a plus.
