Job summary

IQVIA seeks a Senior Medical Director with deep Pulmonology expertise to provide strategic medical and scientific leadership across the R&D lifecycle and client engagements. You will support early customer engagement, contribute to RFP responses, and act as a medical director and SME in bid defenses, collaborating across IQVIA to leverage resources.

You will independently lead the strategic direction of the Center of Excellence, formulate development plans, and guide execution while traveling up

Qualifications

Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
Requires exceptional business knowledge to drive results for the organization.
At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a CRO setting; CRO background with senior strategic roles and leadership in Pulmonology.
Terminal degree (MD) with training in Pulmonology and R&D leadership.

Responsibilities

Work independently of the therapeutic area head.
Demonstrate independence in strategic proposal development with the proposal development team.
Lead client proposal bid defense meetings as medical director and SME.
Act as consultant throughout the R&D life cycle and clinical trials, or as a standalone solution.
Formulate clinical development plans and execute the group strategy for the Center of Excellence.
