A renowned design studio in Milan is looking for a Senior Product Designer with a minimum of five years of experience. The ideal candidate will create designs for furniture and homeware, with responsibilities including market research, prototyping, and collaboration with suppliers. Proficiency in Italian is mandatory, and experience in AI tools for design is a plus. This is an on-site position.

Atelier Biagetti is seeking a creative, yet pragmatic individual to develop designs and visuals.

A minimum offive years’ experienceand a strong passion and understanding of Design is required.

TheSenior Product Designerwill be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of design furniture, lighting, and homewares. The role primarily involves the creation of 3D models and technical drawings, and the development of items specified for interiors projects and installations. It involves working closely with all members of the Atelier Biagetti team and with our network of skilled makers, and requires prior experience in prototype and small-to-medium production process.

Responsabilities

• Collaborate with the design team to define the product vision and strategy
• Conduct in-depth market research to understand trends and customer needs
• Create sketches, models, and prototypes to communicate design ideas
• Assess technical feasibility of proposed solutions
• Define design specifications and product requirements
• Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to ensure quality and timelines
• Stay up to date on materials, technologies and trends – including AI tools applied to design
• Outstanding design and presentation skills
• Experience in the production of furniture, lighting, and homeware
• Solid understanding of materials and fabrication processes
• Excellent 3D modeling and rendering skills
• Comfortable working independently and within a team
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Professional communication with makers and the supply chain
• Italian mandatory – excellent spoken and written
• Attention to detail, ability to multitask
• Team spirit, discretion, and a proactive mindset are essential
• Interest in AI for design is considered a plus
